Hempel Light Primer is a two-part epoxy solvent based primer and undercoat. It helps prevent osmotic blistering in glass fibre and protects against general corrosion.
Hempel Light Primer is suitable for use above and below the waterline and is ideal for protection of keels and rudders
Substrates: suitably prepared glass fibre, steel, aluminium and plywood
Application method: brush, roller
Recommended number of coats: 1 to 5 depending upon substrate and environment above/below waterline
Touch dry: 3 to 6 hours (temperature dependent)
Hard dry: 6 to 12 hours (temperature dependent)
Fully cured: 7 to 14 days (temperature dependent)
Overcoat time (Hempel Light Primer): minimum 4.5 to 9 hours; maximum 30 to 60 days (temperature dependent) - Other products have different overcoat times - refer to Data Sheet.

Finish/sheen: semi-gloss
