About

Hempel Tiger Xtra is a conventional erodible antifouling paint which provides protection for all season. It has high mechanical strength to increase resistance to crack formation.

• Hempel Tiger Xtra antifouling paint is suitable for dry sailing or continuous immersion
• Suitable for all seasons
• For use below waterline
• Substrates: for use over suitably prepared glass fibre, wood, plywood and steel boats. Not suitable for use on aluminium or other light-alloy metals. Risk of corrosion in case of direct contact
• Application method: brush, roller, paint pad
• Coverage: 12.8m²/litre
• Recommended number of coats: 2; recommended to apply 3 coats if vessel regularly used at speeds in excess of 20 knots
• Touch dry: 9 minutes to 30 minutes (temperature dependent)
• Surface dry: 4 hours to 8 hours (temperature dependent)
• Overcoat time: minimum 3 hours to 8 hours (temperature dependent)
• Immersion time: minimum 24 hours (temperature dependent), maximum 6 months
• Finish/sheen: semi-flat
